“Guarding replaced by garage roof about 5 years ago and when I needed to have my home roof done, we had another great experience. The representative actuallfy went in the attic and on top of the roof to see what my issues were. Other companies such as the 2 major big box stores did nothing but use the satelite view to get the measurements and give me a quote. Guardian also assesed my ventilation needs, flashing, explained the whys, the whats and the whens. The major issue was that we had ship lap roof decking and while others said it was ok to roof on top of it Guardian said that it was not. When I asked other roofing contractors about it, the hesitated, but still said they would roof on top. I ended up getting plywood decking installed on top of the ship lap and feel that my roof should last a long time. The existing roof on the house was only 15 years old and with constant settling, shifing the ship lap was driving the roofing nails out. None of the other issues were addressed by other contractors”
