Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

And we thought Winter Wonderlands were just for the Holiday Seasons! Mother Nature sure surprised us with the immense amount of snowfall Washington received over the last two weeks! Many of us woke up to find well of over a foot of snow not just in our yards but also on our roofs.

While we can’t control the weather, we can take care of your roof. If you’re worried about leaks or potential damage caused by the heavy snowfall, please don’t hesitate to call us and schedule an estimate. Let us restore your peace of mind so you can get back to cups of hot cocoa next to a frosted windowpanes and making snowmen in the front yard.

A Big THANK YOU to everyone to donated to Guardian’s One Warm Coat Drive!

Here at Guardian we believe that to whom much is given much is excepted and we have been given a lot! This is why every year since our inception we have donated in some way to those less fortunate in our local community. For the last several years we have partnered with the One Warm Coat Organization to hold coat drives throughout the Holiday Season, and this year we were lucky enough to hold another one! Starting December 1st, 2018 and ending January 31st, 2018, Guardian received donation after donation from folks within the greater King and Pierce counties. We are so excited to announce that we have collected over 330 coats and have received $100 in monetary donations. On behalf of all of us here at Guardian I would like to personally thank everyone who donated to our drive; we plan on blessing the following charitable organizations with your donations-

If you would like to learn more about this organizations, or learn how to host your own drive through One Warm Coat, please do not hesitate to reach out to us; call our main office at (253)926-9966.

My sincere thanks,

Lori Swanson

This month’s featured review:

“I really appreciated the prompt feedback and how quickly Carlos go out to our house – even in the inclement weather. He fixed the issue quickly – and helped remove some nail ends that had poked through on a small part of overhand during the initial install. I recommend Guardian to anyone I meet who is looking for a new roof – you all have been great to work with”

Ice Dams and Their Prevention

The Guardian Gazette: February 2019 Newsletter

Ice dams are a pervasive and damaging winter roofing problem typically caused by a combination of a poor attic or roof ventilation and warm attic space. They can also be exacerbated by a clogged or poorly draining gutter system. If ignored, ice dams can cause serious damage to your roof, gutters, paint, insulation and interior drywall and other surfaces. Preventing ice dams usually requires improving ventilation and insulation and removing heat sources from the attic.
